FALL UNIFORM

This look is often my go-to casual "uniform" for fall. It has all the things I need to feel prepared for temperamental weather: layers, tall boots, a jacket that offers just enough warmth, and a colorful scarf. Top it off with a chunky watch and earrings and you're good to go!
Most any boot will do, but two-tone boots are especially fun and add a little unexpected flair. The pair that I'm wearing in the outfit below are from Etienne Aigner, and sadly no longer available. But I love this gorgeous Tommy Hilfiger pair and this other one from Liz Clairborne (also available in wide width).

Navy Ankle Boots.

Last week's ankle boot shopping spree turned out to be much more of a spree than I had originally intended. (Sorry, honey!)

I ended up purchasing a couple of additional shoes, including this navy version of the cognac pair of boots that I ordered. And call me crazy, but I love the navy pair so much that I'm not even sure if I will keep the cognac pair. The navy ones are seriously gorgeous and on sale for even cheaper than the price that I bought them at! I love mixing and matching my outfits and creating exciting new  looks.  But, there are some days when you just need something that you know you will like.  And maybe on some of those days you haven't washed your hair and it's probably best for you to wear a hat and hide that bird's nest from the world.  

Today, my friends, was one of those days.  Last minute Christmas shopping called for pretty much the same exact thing I wore yesterday.

animal print + stripes!

Hi, guys!  Happy November!  How was your week?  

Mine was filled to the brim with work.  But, now I get to relax with the hubs and also see a few friends.  So excited!

Along with November came my renewed obsession with animal prints and stripes.  I just can't get enough!!  Oh, and it's been pretty cold here in Michigan.  So, I've been layering to the max.
