Top 10 Wardrobe Staples for Fall.

It's no surprise that Fall fashion is something that I (and most other fashion-lovers) look forward to all year round.  Even though I love Summer and warm weather, my absolute favorite time of year will always be Fall.  This is partly due to the newly crisp weather and the gorgeous and ever-changing colors of the leaves.  But, the main reason for my excitement is all of the incredible clothing choices available in the Fall!  I mean, come on, who doesn't get giddy about playing around with tons of layers?  
The options are positively endless!!

Every season I become a little (overtly) obsessed with one color and just can't get enough of it.  This past Spring it was mint, and in the Summer it was pretty much every bright color I could get my hand on.  

It's not even officially Fall yet, but I already know that this Fall I'm going to be head over heels in love with mustard yellow.  I mean, how can I not be?!  The color is so gorgeous and works as a bright statement color AND as a neutral.  What more could I ask for?!

creating fashionable outfits in a pinch!

Do you ever have those absolutely insane weeks (or months, or years... ;)) where you can't even find a second to breathe, let alone put cute and interesting outfits together?  Well, the past two weeks have been just that for me.  But, even though my days and nights have been jam-packed with a to-do list longer than the Mississippi River, I've somehow managed to keep myself looking relatively put-together.  

How did I pull this off? 
Well, let me tell you about my Fashion Fairy Godmother!  
Just kidding.  There was no magic involved here.  Just a very basic fashion formula.  If you check out the looks below you will see that I've worn practically the same simple things over and over again the past few days: a nice top, a skirt (or pants in one case), a statement necklace, and basic flats or pumps.  

And there you have it--Fast, fashionable, grab-n-go outfits!

For years now, we've religiously spent every Labor Day Weekend at our friend's cottage on Lake Michigan.  Summer just wouldn't be summer without going to The Cottage.  This Labor Day Weekend was no different.  We spent the weekend at The Cottage with good friends, good eats, the sand, the lake, and the sun.  

And really, what more do you need in life?

And on a fashion-related note, I was really excited to wear this Victoria's Secret bikini top and bottom that I purchased at their 40% off swim sale a couple of weeks ago.  And I was even happier to complete my be beachy look with these fabulous dreamcatcher earrings c/o Feisty Christine Designs on Etsy.  I don't have a lot of boho pieces in my jewelry collection, so I was just over the moon about these earrings!
